Twilight is a book written by Stephenie Meyer which takes place in present day in the small town of Forks, Wa.  The main character, Bella, lives in Phoenix, Az. with her mom.  After her parents split up her mom remarries and  goes on the road with her new husband, a baseball player so Bella moves to Forks to live with her Dad.

Once in Forks, Bella makes friends with a few of the kids but is interested in one more than the others.  Some of her friends don’t like the Cullen family which includes Edward, Bella’s dream guy.  There were three things about Edward she was sure of, 1. he was a vampire 2. one part of him, she didn’t  know how dominant, thirsted for her blood 3. She was madly in love with him.

Edward and his family consider themselves to be vegetarian because they don’t drink human blood.  After 2 or 3 months three new vampires come to Forks yet they are not vegetarian.  This scares the town of Forks because people are disappearing so the Cullens hide Bella in Arizona.  One of the three newcomers goes wild over Bella and hunts her down, he gets so caught up with Bella that he lays a phony trap for her and lures her right to him so he can devour her.  Edward comes along with the rest of his family and saves her.  With severe injuries they rush Bella to the hospital.
